Pink pigeon causes a flutter

Owner Sher Singh, in Bristol, was discovered to be the owner of many pink tipplers that had been spotted all over the country. B ut following advice from the RSPB that the dye could be harmful to his birds he agreed to stop dyeing their feathers but said it would take a while for the dye to come off.

The RSPCA have previously warned against people dyeing the feathers of birds, saying it was unnecessary and could cause harm to the birds if ingested. People have also previously claimed that the feathers of birds could change colour if they ate certain types of pink food.
